Help us to
raise £9,000 to build a
wildlife
sanctuary.
Most of the wild animals rescued and
brought to the PPS Petungsewu were wild
caught.
They were
hunted and trapped by the poachers from
the forest, then smuggled and sold to the
wildlife traders or collectors. During
this
process, many of the wildlife were badly
injured and were untreated. Some
broken limbs
now
render the wild animals to be
disabled.
Many
wild caught
primates
were
kept in
cramped cages by the traders.
During
their
captivity,
the healthy and sick
ones were
being put
together in
the same
cages. Many
were
under-nourished
and
contracted
various infections including incurable
hepatitis B and herpes.
These
primates can no longer be released to
their natural habitats for fear of
infecting other healthy primates.
The sick
ones and those with broken limbs or
disable,
which
cannot survive in the wild,
are all
waiting to go into a sanctuary.
Please help however
small to
fund the construction of this wildlife
sanctuary.
